Dublin-born song writer and musician Liam is best known as a member of Hothouse Flowers, formed in 1985 with his school mate, Fiachna O’Braonain. The band had chart single hits with ‘Don’t Go’ and ‘Give It Up’ and released seven albums, becoming one of Irelands most successful Rock bands.
Liam now performs solo and has released two albums, 2005’s ‘Rian’ (meaning ‘mark’ or ‘trace’) – a collection of traditional tunes and songs in Irish that resonate with Liam from his childhood – and ‘To Be Touched’, a collection of piano based songs and his first self-penned album - recorded in Prague in 2007 and released in 2009.
His traditional music continues to take a place at the centre of his expression but he is a lover of blues, soul, gospel, country, punk rock and folk. All captured in his beautiful live performances. Liam sets out on a series of selected ‘live’ performances in the UK during early October 2021.
